About Us
Approximately 15,000 ex-offenders are released into the Houston community from the Texas Department of Criminal Justice each year. In response, IHCM has developed a continuum of care programs that offers pre release and re entry services. The goal of these programs is to create more opportunity for returning citizens to succeed, eliminate gaps in crucial treatment options, and overcome existing barriers that would stop these citizens from moving forward. The expected outcomes include reduced recidivism and re-arrests, improved employment and retention rates, stabilized housing for a minimum of one year, and increased family involvement.
